A two-vehicle collision Jan. 7, on U.S. 27 at the south junction of Main Street, resulted in minor injuries. According to a Nicholasville Police Department accident report, the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet Aveo, Emily Dunning of Robinson Road, Ky., was heading south on U.S. 27, when she tried to stop at a yellow light but skidded sideways and was struck by an UPS Freight semi truck, driven by Bobby Scott of Somerset.
