Monday, January 25, 2010, Nick Stump was the first EMT in the State of Kentucky to receive the Advance EMT Certification. Nick who is a part-time employee with Jessamine County EMS was part of a pilot program granted by the Kentucky Board of EMS when Jessamine County EMS awarded the recipient of the Assistance to Firefighter Grant Program in 2007. Nick Successfully completed his National Registry Certification in late 2008 and has patiently waited until KBEMS was able to recognize this new certification level.
