Five people were taken to the hospital Thursday morning following a two-vehicle collision on Maple Street near Miles Road and Maple Leaf Lane.
The crash occurred around 9:40 a.m.
According to Nicholasville Police Cpl. Ben Rugg, a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee was making a left turn onto Maple Street from Miles Road when a Ford van T-boned it broadside.
The names of those injured weren’t released at the scene, but The Journal learned that two adults along with a 4-year-old boy, a 9-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were involved.
Rugg said those injured were taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.
Traffic in both directions of Maple Street was halted for about 30 minutes. READ MORE...
